CWL proud to continue patronage of Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline Ayrshire Link – 3rd August

Community Windpower Ltd (CWL) is proud to be a Patron of the Ayrshire Link of Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline and to continue to support the fantastic work that they do. The £500 annual donation allows the sponsorship for one child to visit Ayrshire for 4 action-packed weeks of fun and adventure in Ayrshire with local host families.

Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline charity offers children from Belarus and Ukraine a chance of respite from the effects of the Chernobyl disaster. Chairman Michael Lafferty and his team of dedicated volunteers in the Ayrshire Link organised 4 weeks of fun-filled activities during their stay in Ayrshire which encompassed a broad range of trips to places such as Edinburgh Castle, Loch Lomond, Calderglen Zoo and Kelburn Country Park. On their visit to Edinburgh, the children even treated passers-by to their ceilidh dancing which they learnt on their holiday! The children also had the opportunity to visit both the dentist and opticians during their visit, providing a vital service which they would otherwise be unable to receive.

The Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline is a fantastic charity which CWL are proud to be a part of, and we look forward to continuing our patronage with the Ayrshire link.
