News - Donation of £2368 to East Berwickshire First Responders...
CWP Energy through our BeGreen Dunbar office is delighted to be supporting the fabulous East Berwickshire and Dunbar Area Community First Responders once again with a donation of £2368.
The group covers towns and villages such as Dunbar, Coldingham and Eyemouth. Members respond to potentially life-threatening emergencies such as a cardiac arrest or seizure in the vital first few minutes before an ambulance crew arrives. Their services are vital in the community.
We have helped the group in various ways since 2022. The first grant enabled them to upgrade and install new defibrillators in and around the local area. Subsequent funding allowed the purchase of new defibrillator pads and maintenance to the 31 defibrillators that are dotted around the community.
This most recent grant has allowed the members to purchase new uniforms. John Montgomery, the organisations secretary is thankful for the grant. “Uniforms play a crucial role in presenting a professional and cohesive image of our team. They help responders be easily identifiable during emergencies, which can provide reassurance and confidence to those in need of assistance. By having a consistent and professional appearance, we aim to enhance the credibility and visibility of our organisation within the community. Thank you for your support once again.”
