Girlguiding East Lothian - Allison Cargill House - £500

BeGreen and Community Windpower are pleased to be helping Girlguiding East Lothian with a grant of £500 to go towards the upgrade of their lighting in their residential property, Allison Cargill House.

Allison Cargill House, based in the stunning East Lothian countryside is used by girl guide members, local schools and organisations throughout the year. The house offers a base for for the guides to do various activities and outdoor pursuits which allows the guides to grow in confidence and learn new things.

The grant of £500 will allow the charity to upgrade old inefficient lighting. Not only will this make the rooms brighter and cut back on fuel bills but it will make the house more accessible for community groups as running costs will be less.

Anouska, BeGreen Coordinator, "It's great that we can help another organisation to become more energy efficient. Simple measures like changing to LED lighting have a big impact on bills and will also make the space a more enjoyable place to be. The recent energy crisis is affecting everyone and if we can help take the pressure off slightly for organisations then that's a good thing."
