Innerwick Primary School Visit - 6th March

When Innerwick Primary School asked if we could help with their Land Use in Scotland Project we jumped at the chance to visit! The pupils from P4/P5 at the school have been learning how land has been used in a lots of different ways and one particular aspect was How is Electricity is made? Chris Woods, an expert in the renewable industry was on hand to help out and gave a fantastic presentation on Wind Turbines, Electricity, Environmental Impact and lots more. The children were engrossed and asked lots of questions along with the teacher too! The day was a great success and it was a lovely surprise to have an envelope delivered to the BeGreen Office full of Thank You letters! It was so nice to see that the children had listed their favourite parts of the day from learning about how farmers still use their land for animal farming, finding out how big the blades were, trying on safety equipment to building their own wee turbine! They even had there own wind turbine designs on the back - a massive thank you to Innerwick Primary for having us and we hope you enjoy the rest of your Land Use project!!
