News - Dunbar man takes on the world at Tae Kwon Do - August 2014...
Gavin Robertson from Dunbar took part in the World Championships for Tae Kwon Do in Rome at the end of July. Gavin successfully battled his first two opponents from Spain and Argentina but unfortunately he was knocked out in the quarter finals by the current world champion in his weight categorym who was from Italy. Gavin Robertson received sponsorship of £1,000 from Community Windpower Ltd to cover costs associated with attendance and competing at these World Championships and no doubt, it will help him to develop his talent and will be back competing very soon. |
