News - CWL distributes grant to The Space Scotland CIC...
Community Windpower, through BeGreen Dunbar, have distributed a grant of £1,080 to theSpace Scotland CIC to support the purchasing of display boards for consultation events. For theSpace Scotland, helping young people in their communities is central to their ethos, and they have set their sights on Dunbar with new plans for a skatepark, rehearsal space, café and bar at Dunbear Point. The new space will provide a place for people of all backgrounds to socialise in an inclusive and engaging atmosphere. The plans for theSpace include a performance auditorium, a learning support hub, 10-pin bowling, Clip and Climb walls, and indoor and outdoor refreshment zones. The new space will deepen community relationships and address the causes and consequences of inequality, all whilst championing sustainability and embodying net zero principles. Community Windpower (CWL), through BeGreen Dunbar, were approached by theSpace Scotland CIC for funding to cover the cost of purchasing professional presentation boards, as an important facet of applying for planning permission comprises community consultation. The boards will be utilised during public engagement events, to showcase the plans and proposals in the highest possible quality. Anouska Woods, Community Coordinator at BeGreen Dunbar, said: “This space will be so valuable to the communities in and around Dunbar, and we are pleased to be able to support even in a small way. These presentation boards will ensure those attending the events can understand the full scale and positive impact that these proposals will have.” |
