News - Community Windpower's East Lothian Energy Fund hits £150,000 milestone...
We are pleased to announce that our Community Windpower East Lothian Energy Fund, in partnership with Advice Direct Scotland and East Lothian Council, has distributed over £150,000 of the £1 million total amount. The fund has been open since the 1st December, and was established to help people in need in East Lothian who require help with their energy bills this winter. The fund is due to run until the 31st March 2023. Anyone on means tested benefits can apply, and those with terminal illnesses automatically qualify for help from the Energy Fund. We are working closely with Marie Curie and Macmillan, and we have over 115 other referral partners on board to process and field other applications. As of the 23rd December 2022, the fund has successfully distributed funding for 264 applications and there is capacity to help many, many more this winter. Can we help you too?
