St Anne's Church - £1120 towards Community Peace Garden

Community Windpower and BeGreen Dunbar are delighted to be taking part in the new project being undertaken by St Anne's Church. Having previously helped with refurbishing the church and providing insulation. Community Windpower are now helping with the outside space in creating a peace garden.

The creation of a wheelchair-accessible Community Peace Garden on St Anne’s church land fronting the seaward end of Dunbar High Street, will be barrier-free and will be open daily as an amenity for residents and visitors to sit, rest, reflect, picnic and enjoy activities.

A spokesperson for St Anne's said, "A big thank you to Community Windpower and BeGreen for their kind donation of £1120. This money will be going towards two wooden 4 seater curved benches. This will enable visitors to take a rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We are hoping to have the garden open in summer 2019 and everyone is most welcome."

Anouska Woods, BeGreen Community Co-Ordinator, "It's lovely to be supporting St Anne's in such a nice project. The High Street doesn't have very many seating areas so it's great that there will be this new addition of benches as well as a peaceful area that all the community can use".
