News - Dunbar Dementia Carers Support Group - £300 Donation...
Anouska & David from BeGreen Dunbar were delighted to be invited to join the Dunbar Dementia Carers Group last week to present them with a cheque for £300! This money will enable the group to go on an outing in the new year. Anouska, BeGreen Co-ordinator, "We are so pleased to have been able to help the group with funding for a day out. Having chatted to a few members, these trips are really important to them all. It was such a fun afternoon talking to everyone and realising how important this weekly meet up is to everyone. Thank you for having us and we are looking forward to seeing you all in the BeGreen office soon!' The group meet every week and are always thinking of new ideas for outings and things to do. Some recent trips were to Spott Village Hall, The Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh and a boat trip in Ratho. The meetings are fun, good company, offer support and advice, as well as participating in Art Workshops, trips and social events - living life to the full! Lorna Bunney, Group Co-ordinator said 'This is a fantastic donation and will help us on our next trip in the new year. The group is an important lifeline to many.
