About Us...

The BeGreen Dunbar Energy Advice Centre was opened by Community Windpower Ltd in November 2008.

The Centre is situated in the centre of Dunbar, located close to local schools, shops, cafés, the library and other community facilities. This enables local residents and visitors to easily access the Centre for advice and information whilst visiting or shopping in Dunbar.

The Energy Advice Centre has advised and assisted numerous local residents from Dunbar and the wider District with a wide range of energy saving technologies, from the installation of loft and cavity wall insulation and draft proofing measures through to the installation of solar thermal and solar PV systems, and air source heat pumps.

Detailed advice on alternative technologies along with help and assistance to apply for grants is provided, along with top-up funding sourced directly from BeGreen Dunbar thanks to the £150,000 fund it receives annually from Aikengall and Aikengall II Community Wind Farms.

BeGreen Dunbar also provides information regarding Community Windpower’s operational Aikengall, Aikengall II and Aikengall IIa Community Wind Farms.
