Community Windpower proud to continue patronage of the Garnock Valley Visually Impaired Group – 9th January 2017

Community Windpower are delighted to continue their funding of the Garnock Valley Visually Impaired Group (GVVIG) for the year ahead with a £1,000 donation.

Due to the nature of members’ disabilities, carers are often required to accompany the members for trips out which makes them more expensive, meaning that fundraising is especially important to the group. Over the last year, the group went on trips to Brodick Castle on the Isle of Arran, New Lanark and Clyde Valley, as well as the Burns Museum. CWL hope that the funding provided is used to ensure that trips like these can continue, and we look forward to hearing all about what they get up to.

Special thanks go to Sandra Scott at BeGreen Dalry, with Ellen Clark, the President of the GVVIG, saying that “Sandra has been invaluable with all the help she has given us…she is always ready to give a hand where needed”.
