About Us...

The BeGreen Dalry Energy Advice Centre was opened by Community Windpower Ltd in October 2008. Local resident Sandra Scott is employed as the BeGreen Dalry Energy Advisor.

The Centre is situated in the centre of Dalry by The Cross, located close to local shops, cafés, the library and other community facilities. This enables local residents and visitors to easily access the Centre for advice and information whilst visiting or shopping in Dalry.

The Energy Advice Centre has advised and assisted numerous local residents from the area in relation to loft and cavity wall insulation and energy efficiency measures. Advice has also been provided on grants which are available to home owners and guidance given on how to apply for these.

The Centre is also a popular local place for local residents to visit, keeping Sandra informed of all the community events and projects which are happening in the town which BeGreen Dalry enjoys getting involved with. Sandra also regularly attends local meetings and is actively involved with many community groups.

Educational Ranger Pete Boustead is also based in the Centre and has worked in Dalry since 2006. Ranger Pete works closely with the teachers and pupils of Dalry and St. Palladius Primary Schools along with many other local schools in the wider area.

BeGreen Dalry also provides information regarding Community Windpower’s operational wind farms, Dalry and Millour Hill, along with details of any proposed developments happening within North Ayrshire.

For more information or to speak to Sandra or Pete, please pop in to the Centre or telephone them on 01294 835881.
